Zipline and Hillside Tour
Experience an adrenaline filled rush and wild ride on St. Maarten's newest zipline adventure at Pelican Peak! Gain access to never before seen 360 degree views of neighbouring islands and the Caribbean with easy walking trails and viewing decks on the hillside summit. Guests will be treated to a historical guided adventure where you can learn more about the stories and characters that shaped the island’s history. Located just steps from the cruise port and fun for all ages.
After checking in at our Dock Maarten landing area guests will be harnessed and taken by open-air truck transport up to the Pelican Peak take-off area and hillside. Along the way you'll learn about St. Maarten and the neighbouring islands. Once at the top our guides will take guests along easy walking paths to experience breathtaking island and ocean views while telling historical stories about our beautiful island. The walk will take you to the top of the zipline where our qualified safety instructors will prepare you for the exhilarating ride back to the ocean where your adventure began.
Please note weight restrictions, guests must be between 70lbs-250lbs.
Completing waivers and the sign-in process, followed by safely storing any loose items and getting harnessed up will take approximately 30 mins.
Important! Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your tour!
Plan for an additional 45mins that includes transport to the take-off area, the walking tour and zipline ride.
The entire experience from arriving onsite to landing will take around an hour and a half.
Guests are responsible for their own transportation to our landing zone area by the ocean at least 30 minutes prior to their tour time. From there, we will supply the transportation
up the hill.
The walk from the cruise terminal to the landing zone is roughly 10 minutes.
Guests are returned back to the landing zone via the zipline and will require their own transportation from the area. Please note we are within walking distance of the cruise ship terminal.
T-Shirt and shorts longer than mid-thigh are recommended for the harnessing. Closed toe shoes are also recommended for the hiking portion. Loose articles are not permitted on the zipline but small lockers are provided for free at the bottom to store articles that can’t be secured. Small action cameras are allowed as long as they can be connected directly to you as you will require use of both hands when riding the zipline. Cellphones will have to be securely put away during flight, so deep pockets or pockets with closures are required. Hats and sunglasses can be worn but will be placed into a small bag for flight.
The tour includes the historical guided hiking tour as well as transportation up the mountain and the zipline experience back to the landing zone. Small lockers are also provided for free to store items that are not required on the tour.
The tour does not include any food items and there will be limited access to water. Additional professional imagery, either photos or video from your adventure may be available for an additional charge. Transportation on or off of our property outside of the guided tour, is not included. Tips are not included should you wish to tip your guide.
There is approximately 30 minutes worth of procedures prior to the start of the tour. Guests are required to arrive 30 minutes beforehand to complete the paperwork, secure loose clothing, use the facilities and get harnessed before the tour departs.
Any tour cancelled with more than 48 hours noticed will be issued a full refund. Pelican Peak will operate in rain or shine. Guests are required to dress appropriately for the weather conditions. The zipline does have a maximum amount of wind that may make it unsafe to participate. If the tour is cancelled due to wind, the tour may be modified for a reduced price, or the guest may cancel at no charge. For more details of our cancelation policy, please review them on our webpage.
